The Glass House


The Glasshouse is an A-grade 35,144sqm NLA office building in Macquarie Park. It is the first fully specified project for Caroma Smart Command.

History

MELD Strategies, an innovation consultant specialised in leading Smart Commercial buildings, specified Caroma Smart Command into the innovation document for the project.

John Holland were the original developer of the project, however half way through development the project was sold to Charter Hall who managed the completion of the build.

 

Measure and reduce water usage

Demonstrate water savings of at least +15% of the building’s planned water usage through the identification of potential leaks as well as understanding how this can contribute to a NABERS and Green Star rating improvement for the building.

Improve the tenant's experience

Understand how the tenants rate their bathroom experience and seek to set a high benchmark for satisfaction.

Improve user hygiene

Measure and compare hand washing compliance, understanding how improvements can be made and it enhances the tenant's bathroom experience.

Understand what drives cost efficiencies

Clearly articulate costs saved by transitioning to predictive maintenance and utilising smart cleaning and servicing techniques understanding the impacts this has on tenant and Facility Manager’s experience.
